MAGMA would like to congratulate the first recipients of the Annual Humanitarian Award which was celebrated at the MAGMA Re-Envisioned: One Year Later event; Marie-Claire Muirhead and Regine Lura.

The Award aims to highlight the importance of volunteer work in building more diverse, inclusive and equitable communities and MAGMA is happy to invite its community partners to nominate their community volunteer hero.

Initiated by four past MAGMA board members; George Wybouw, Nicole Druckman, Mike Timani, and Jack Haller, the award celebrates two community volunteers every year and aims to highlight the importance of volunteer work in building more diverse, inclusive and equitable communities.

Passionate about multiculturalism and inclusion, they decided to create the award to honor and commemorate the great memory of Dr. Naren Srivastava and James (Skip) Talbot; two former Presidents of MAGMA Board of Directors and true believers in the power of diversity and humanitarian work which reflected in their decades-long volunteering and dedication towards a vibrant community.

MAGMA is thrilled to announce the launching of the Annual Humanitarian Award which will celebrate two community volunteers every year.
