The services
As your first point of contact, the MAGMA Intake team will respond to your inquiries, questions, and requests and will provide you with a comprehensive overview of available services.
It will connect you with the right resources and coordinate with other MAGMA service departments as well as community partners to meet your unique needs. Through personalized assessments, the team offers tailored resources, information, and referrals to both internal and external services.
Additionally, the team can provide guidance on housing, school registration, sports, hobbies, recreational activities, and refer you to professional networking events and community groups to help you build connections and expand opportunities.
Serving clients with Permanent Residence, Work Permits, Study Permits and Visitor Visas, the team is dedicated to support your transition into your new city by helping you create a customized settlement plan, including referral to all MAGMA services.
CUAET Notice
Kindly note that services under the Canada Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET), a program funded by the Government of Canada, will no longer be available to Ukrainians and their family members who are in Canada as temporary residents after March 31, 2025 as announced by IRCC.
MAGMA understands the inconvenience that this might cause to many individuals and family members who have greatly benefited from services available under this stream and while this is out of MAGMA control, we are working on finding other ways or solutions to help those impacted.
Meanwhile, we kindly ask our clients to advise their MAGMA Settlement Counsellor or Program Coordinator of any updates on their residence status in Canada, and we encourage everyone to continue working on their settlement plan and not to hesitate to contact their Settlement Counsellor with any questions or enquiries you may have.
