MAGMA Harvest Fest
On October 25, we had a beautiful Fall morning spent carving pumpkins, watching spooky movies, and enjoying hot apple cider and caramel apples! 🍎🍬
We loved celebrating the season with everyone who attended! Their smiles and creativity made the day extra special.

Disability Employment Awareness Month with CCRW
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW) event at MAGMA!
Together, we explored the importance of accessibility, inclusion, and meaningful employment for persons with disabilities — a conversation that aligns deeply with MAGMA’s mission to break down barriers and create opportunities for all.
As we mark Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re reminded that inclusion isn’t just about access — it’s about belonging, understanding, and creating space for every person to contribute their talents.
A heartfelt thank-you to CCRW and all of our guest speakers for sharing their expertise and helping us continue this important dialogue in our community.
A Great Success for the MAGMA Professional Networking Event!
On the evening of October 30, we created a welcoming space where newcomers and job seekers could connect and communicate freely with employers, professionals, and recruitment experts — without fear or prejudice.
This open and inclusive atmosphere encouraged genuine connections, meaningful conversations, and new professional opportunities.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, partners, and volunteers who made this event such a success!
Convo Session + Cooking Together
This month, one of our participants led the group in preparing a delicious traditional Syrian dish, and she did an amazing job! We had women from Syria, Peru, Cuba, Venezuela, and Afghanistan come together to share food, stories, and laughter. The energy in the room was incredible, and everyone left with full hearts (and full plates!).

CycleFit for Women – November 7
The days were getting colder
but there were still so many great things happening in our community!
Our Community Connections team had the privilege of joining a CycleFit ride with the
YMCA — such a fun way to stay active and energized during the winter months!

We loved celebrating the season with you before the Santa Claus Parade and helping your little ones send off 103 letters to Santa.
