An Exciting New Chapter for Our MAGMA Gardening Circle

Our group now has a dedicated garden plot at the YMCA of Greater Moncton Community Garden, where women can grow vegetables, learn gardening skills, build friendships, and enjoy the rewards of gardening throughout the season.
The first planting day was filled with smiles, teamwork, and enthusiasm as participants worked together to get the garden started. We can’t wait to see both the vegetables and the connections continue to grow in the months ahead.
Thank you to the YMCA of Greater Moncton for the warm welcome and for providing this wonderful opportunity for our women to be part of the community garden. 💚🌿

A Fantastic Learn to Bike Day!

On August 19, MAGMA organized a Learn to Bike Day for newcomer women, giving participants the chance to learn cycling basics, build confidence, and connect with others in a fun and supportive environment.
A huge thank you to La Bikery for helping make this activity possible, and to our amazing volunteers for their time, encouragement, and dedication.
Together, we’re creating opportunities for learning, connection, and empowerment.

A Visit to Resurgo Place

Newcomer women and their children joined us for a fun and engaging day of exploration, learning, and connection. Families had the opportunity to discover the museum’s exhibits, learn about local history, and spend quality time together in a welcoming environment.

We are grateful to the team at Resurgo Place for their warm hospitality and for helping create a memorable experience for our participants. Activities like these provide valuable opportunities for newcomer families to connect with their community, learn something new, and build a sense of belonging.

Babysitting Course for Youth

MAGMA was pleased to offer a Babysitting Course for youth, helping participants gain the skills and confidence needed to become responsible babysitters.
Throughout the course, participants learned about child safety, basic caregiving, communication, and responsibility. Congratulations to everyone who completed the course and received their certificate of completion!
